Nike has unveiled official images of the Air Max Dn ‘Laser Orange’ and the Jordan Luka 3 ‘El Matador.’ The striking Air Max Dn releases on October 3rd for $170, while Luka Doncic’s Jordan Luka 3, inspired by his "El Matador" nickname, drops on October 10th for $130.

Nike Air Max Dn ‘Laser Orange’ Unveils Stunning Gradient Design Ahead of October Release

In a recent report by Sneaker News, as the Nike Air Max Dn continues cementing its status as a bonafide mainline offering, newly surfaced colorways have only gotten more and more applaudable. The name “Dynamic Air” implies a connection to the Air Max Plus (aka Air Max TN), and while the model itself shares features with a few different silhouettes, recent gradient colorways have derived from familiar TN aesthetics. Next up from that school; is an eye-catching “Sunrise” edition.

The top portion of the shoe is the first thing that catches the eye, with the gradient transitioning from yellow near the tongue/lining into a burnt orange hue just above the mudguard. Black silicone decorates the entire upper, accentuating the shape of the shoe and enabling a transition into the lower half. There, the mudguard, midsole, and outsole all come painted in black as well, complemented by orange Air chambers and matching TPU midfoot and heel elements.

Given the familiar gradient on display here, Air Max Plus heads might draw comparisons to the “Sunset,” “Tiger,” or “Sundial” colorways of that shoe. In any case, the Air Max Dn “Sunrise” is plenty compelling enough to hold its own without a direct connection to an established colorway.

Official images of the Nike Air Max Dn “Laser Orange” aka “Sunrise” have been uploaded. These were released on October 3rd for $170, a notable $10 bump from the model’s usual MSRP.

Jordan Luka 3 ‘El Matador’ Honors Doncic’s Spanish Roots with Bold New Colorway for October Release

Luka Dončić is a man of many nicknames. Before “Luka Magic” became a thing during his rookie campaign, the Dallas Mavericks star was coined “El Matador” by a member of the team’s staff, an allusion to his pre-NBA days playing in Spain. Now hitting pause on motorsports aesthetics momentarily, the Jordan Luka 3 has surfaced in a new colorway inspired by the bullfighter moniker.

This isn’t the first time “El Matador” has made its way onto Jordan shoes. In 2022, just a few months before Luka’s signature Jordan line kicked off, the Jumpman released a Jordan 36 “El Matador” featuring red and gold embellishments. Needless to say, the Luka 3 takes a drastically different approach to the theme.

Eyes are first drawn to the medial side, where gold stitching is accompanied by hot pink flowers. To the uninitiated; matadors are traditionally doused in flowers as a sign of recognition after a successful bullfight. The gold shade makes more appearances on the heel, tongue, and midfoot Isoplate structure, while hot pink gets called back in on the medial mesh panel and outsole. Moreover, the inner tongue features a gold and white “El Matador” tag. Ensuring focus gets placed on the thematic touches at play, the rest of the design keeps things simple in white.

The Jordan Luka 3 “El Matador” is set to release on October 10th for $130 in men’s sizing, right on the cusp of the 2024-25 season. See official images and revisit our “Where To Buy” section for purchase links when the time comes.
