Ukrainian and Russian officials said mine clearance on the route into Russian-held Oleshky was complete, a step toward an aid mission and possible civilian departures from the southern Ukrainian city.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets said the convoy would travel to a hospital in Oleshky. Russian Commissioner for Human Rights Yana Lantratova also reported the route had been cleared.

The White House said the pause was intended to support aid deliveries and civilian departures. EconoTimes previously reported that the Oleshky truce took effect as the mission began.

The officials said the convoy was ready to set out for the Russian-held city in Ukraine's southern Kherson region.
