A Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) evacuation brought an injured Indian crew member to Muscat after a launch was targeted in the Strait of Hormuz, Oman’s military said.

The military said the sailor received initial care at Khasab Hospital in Musandam before RAFO flew him to Khoula Hospital in Muscat for specialist treatment.

In a separate incident on Oct. 29, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported devices attached by a small boat above the waterline of an outbound tanker, roughly 25 nautical miles northeast of Khasab. The agency said the crew was safe. That report involved a tanker, separate from the launch in Oman’s evacuation announcement.
