OnTrac Employees Deliver Hope by Volunteerism and Backpack Drive in 2017

CHANDLER, Ariz., Oct. 06, 2017 -- OnTrac, a logistics company specializing in contracting small parcel shipping services in the Western United States, delivered hope to multiple causes and non-profit organizations in 2017 by donating their time and school supplies. Through a facility-lead volunteer program, employees were able to participate at community giveback programs including Feed My Starving Children, Relay For Life, San Diego Coastkeeper and Surfrider Beach Clean, Bakersfield Animal Shelter, and Northwest Harvest, in addition to other programs in the OnTrac eight state service region. More recently, clothing and household items were donated to the victims of the multiple hurricanes through the Salvation Army. Over 300 volunteer hours were donated by OnTrac employees.

During the summer months, OnTrac employees donated school supplies and packed backpacks for students throughout school districts in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah and Washington. 1,000 backpacks were delivered in total to 34 school districts and charities, and several “get to know you” postcards were sent back to OnTrac filled out by the students who received them. The school districts who received these backpacks were chosen based on their proximity to the local OnTrac facility within their city.
