‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6’s episode 20, titled “The Song In Your Heart,” will follow the entire cast of characters as they star in a musical episode. It seems that the entire kingdom will burst into song after Snow makes a wish upon a star for Emma’s protection. Meanwhile back in Storybrook, Emma and Hook prepare for their wedding amidst the continuing threat of the Black Fairy.
The synopsis for “The Song In Your Heart” posted on TV Guide reads, “A wish for Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) protection is made by her parents in a flashback, and the result has the entire kingdom bursting into song. Meanwhile, the Black Fairy (Jaime Murray) plans to unleash another curse on Storybrooke as Emma and Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) prepare for their wedding.”
The upcoming episode will feature a flashback wherein Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas) make a special wish for Emma’s protection. This wish causes the whole kingdom to burst into song, which annoys the Evil Queen (Lana Parilla) to no end.
The promo opens to Snow going out into the balcony and making a wish. The next scenes show various instances where the entire cast bursts into song. Even the Evil Queen can’t help herself.
According to TVLine, the actors talked about preparing for the much-anticipated musical episode. Lana Parilla, who plays Regina and the Evil Queen on the series, revealed that she was anxious for the episode since she hasn’t starred in a musical since she was 19 years old. She said, “I love singing in the shower and in the car, and with Rebecca — we’re always singing together [on set] — but I didn’t know what kind of number I would have. I didn’t know who was singing, if it was Regina or the Queen, and that really made a big difference.”
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode will also feature Emma and Hook as they prepare for their wedding back in Storybrook. However, the Black Fairy is threatening to unleash another curse upon the town.
‘Once Upon A Time’ season 6’s episode 20, titled “The Song In Your Heart,” is scheduled to air on ABC on May 7, 2017. It was directed by Ron Underwood and written by David H.
