OpenAI began a phased rollout of ChatGPT Slides in Space on Oct. 16, giving eligible paid teams a way to build and review presentations alongside shared project files.

OpenAI introduced Space Sept. 29 as a shared workspace for Pages, files and team projects. The release notes list Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access on the web or desktop app as eligible.

Teams can base a presentation on a ChatGPT conversation, files or an outline, and can supply a sample presentation as a design reference.

Users can change wording, images, shapes and charts themselves, or ask ChatGPT to handle revisions. OpenAI says collaborators with editing access can contribute at the same time and comment on shared work.

OpenAI says web users can present within ChatGPT or export presentations as PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides files. Teams can continue working in those presentation tools.

Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint support simultaneous editing and comments, according to their help materials. ChatGPT places similar collaboration features alongside team conversations and files in Space, with access continuing to expand among eligible accounts, OpenAI says.
