OpenStocks Tokens Offer Share Exposure Without Ownership Rights

Unverified reporting says the tokens reference private-company shares, are unavailable to people in the United States and may trade far from those shares’ prices.

OpenStocks’ BNB Chain tokens provide economic exposure to private-company shares but confer no claim to those shares or shareholder rights.

People in the United States and U.S. persons cannot access the tokens. They trade in on-chain liquidity pools, where prices can move materially away from the reference shares; close tracking is not assured.

By late September 2026, the wider stock-linked token market had climbed above $3 billion, from roughly $700 million at the start of the year. Those figures describe the wider market, not OpenStocks’ tokens.

Robinhood has made a similar distinction for its stock tokens, saying they expose holders to the financial performance of linked securities without conferring shareholder status, as EconoTimes noted in coverage of a SpaceX-linked token on its chain.
