CoinGecko and exchange spot data showed Optimism (OP) losing more over 24 hours than Bitcoin or Ether at 6:12 a.m. ET (10:12 UTC) Saturday, with the token at $0.1123.
OP was down 4.73%, while Bitcoin (BTC) declined 1.39% to $80,522 and Ether (ETH) fell 1.37% to $2,364.09 over the same period. These are rolling 24-hour changes, measuring each asset against its price a day earlier rather than its performance since the start of Saturday.
OP is used in governance on Optimism, a layer 2 network built on Ethereum. An earlier EconoTimes snapshot of OP’s 24-hour performance recorded a 9.8% decline at 3:12 p.m. ET (19:12 UTC) Oct. 22. That reading covered a separate rolling 24-hour window, so it does not measure OP’s change between the two dates.
