PC Jeweller Limited shares rose 11.43% on Oct. 19 and touched a 52-week high, extending a 42.53% one-month gain even as India's benchmark Sensex fell.
The stock reached ₹18.64 during the session and ended at ₹18.14, according to Moneycontrol's BSE quote display. The Sensex closed at 73,852.90, down 876.37 points, or 1.17%.
The one-month return through the Oct. 19 close appeared in market data from both The Economic Times and 5paisa. The Economic Times reported that eight BSE 1000 stocks set 52-week highs that day, with PC Jeweller posting the largest one-month gain on its list.
The outlet put Sky Gold and Diamonds' monthly rise at 31%, The South Indian Bank's and Tips Music's at 18% each, and Shyam Metalics And Energy's at 11%. PVR Inox, Laurus Labs and Oriental Hotels also appeared on the screen, with gains of 6%, 5% and 4%, respectively.
In an Oct. 7 business update, PC Jeweller estimated that consolidated revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 rose about 28% from a year earlier. The company attributed the increase to consumer demand and reported about ₹142 crore in payments from export customers with outstanding balances.
PC Jeweller said the financial details were provisional and subject to limited review by its statutory auditor. It also reported repaying its remaining bank borrowings ahead of schedule and said it expected the debt clearance to reduce future interest costs. The company did not link those developments to the share-price gain.
PC Jeweller had previously said it settled its obligations to a 14-bank consortium before the scheduled due dates, as detailed in earlier coverage of the 14-bank debt repayment.
A BSE announcement listing puts the next board meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 21, when directors are due to consider unaudited results for the September quarter and first half.
