PUMA and Manchester City Unveil Year of the Wood Dragon Collection

Global sports brand PUMA and Manchester City have joined forces to introduce a limited-edition capsule collection to celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon. This extraordinary release combines 20 years of the Etihad Stadium's illustrious history with the vibrant essence of Chinese culture, ensuring that Citizens worldwide can celebrate in style.

Spectacular Jersey Paying Homage to Strength and Architecture

The centerpiece of this exclusive collection is a bespoke jersey, according to a press release by PUMA. It featured meticulously hand-drawn illustrations expertly carved in wood.

Manchester City noted in a press release that these artistic designs skillfully intertwine the power of the Wood Dragon with the architectural splendor of the iconic turrets at Etihad Stadium. Beyond a mere jersey, it symbolizes progress, success, and auspicious beginnings, igniting a passion for Cityzens worldwide.

Marco Mueller, PUMA Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel, expressed, "In the creation of this collection, we wanted to pay tribute to the iconic symbols of strength and endurance that deeply resonate with Manchester City fans – the dragon and the prestigious Etihad turrets. The collection comprises a dragon-inspired jersey, jacket, track pants, and t-shirt embellished with metallic details, and the dragon motif elegantly envelopes the club crest. Each piece in the collection embodies the dragon iconography, symbolizing the power and fluidity synonymous with the legendary creature and the esteemed football club.
