Western Australian police charged a 40-year-old Perth woman with two offenses in a case involving Greens senator Jordon Steele-John, placing allegations of stalking and written threats before a court.

Police said Wednesday the charges comprise one count apiece of aggravated stalking with intent to intimidate and demanding property by written threats. Police will allege the woman was Steele-John’s former partner and said she is due in a Perth magistrates court Thursday morning, The Guardian reported.
