Philippine Savings Bank won the highest PRS Aaa issuer grade from PhilRatings, with its stable outlook indicating the agency anticipates no revision during the coming 12 months.

The agency weighed PSBank’s standing among Philippine thrift lenders and its capital base. It also pointed to backing from parent Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank), which held an 88.4% stake in PSBank.

At June 30, 2026, PSBank ranked first among the Philippines’ thrift banks in assets and capital. Its assets totaled 232.0 billion pesos and equity 44.2 billion pesos; its capital adequacy ratio was 24%.

At June’s end, the bank’s gross nonperforming loan ratio stood at 4%, compared with 6.3% for the thrift-banking sector. PhilRatings said it would monitor PSBank and may revise the rating or outlook if circumstances warranted.
