Police removed activists blocking Rheinmetall and General Dynamics facilities in Germany on Oct. 20 as a nationwide protest challenged German weapons exports to Israel.

Peacefully Against Genocide, the group that organized the actions, said more than 70 people took part across Germany.

At Rheinmetall’s Wedding plant in Berlin, nine of 11 protesters glued themselves to the road, rbb reported, citing police. Officers removed the protesters. The plant began producing arms this summer, according to rbb.

In Kaiserslautern, 10 activists blocked two entrances to a General Dynamics facility before police removed them, SWR reported. The broadcaster said the site primarily makes military bridge systems and also participates in armored-vehicle production. SWR said there is no evidence that the Kaiserslautern plant supplies weapons to Israel.

Laila Fuisz of Peacefully Against Genocide accused the German government of continuing to approve weapons deliveries to Israel. The group said it plans further protests across Germany.
