Polymarket US exceeded Polymarket International’s monthly trading volume for the first time in September 2026, The Block reported, estimating the U.S. venue’s contract volume at about $8.7 billion.
The estimate counts each contract at its $1 payout value, rather than the price a trader paid for it. It measures contract activity, not traders’ total spending. Polymarket US says its daily market reports summarize trading in all contracts on the exchange.
Sports accounted for 99.4% of the U.S. venue’s volume since launch, according to Predicted’s Oct. 15 analysis. That figure covers the exchange’s operating history, so it does not establish the sports share for September alone.
The Block separately reported that combination contracts accounted for more than half of U.S. volume during September’s last full week. These contracts put several outcomes into a single trade. The weekly figure does not show their share across the full month.
QCX LLC operates Polymarket US. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) designated QCX as a contract market on July 9, 2025. Polymarket completed its $112 million purchase of QCX’s parent company, QCEX, later that month.
The U.S. exchange offers contracts on sports, politics and crypto. It operates separately from Polymarket’s international venue.
