Creditors of Singapura Heritage Food Hall have been told to document debts after Singapore's High Court placed the operator into compulsory liquidation, The Straits Times reported.
The newspaper said Singapore's Government Gazette published a notice on Nov. 4 stating the court issued the order on Oct. 23. It reported that Toh Thye San Farm petitioned the court on Sept. 17.
Paul Tan of Nexia Solutions was named liquidator in the notice, according to the paper. The Straits Times said the notice did not give the amount sought by Toh Thye San Farm or state the basis for the court's order.
Corporate records cited by The Straits Times identify Lao Huo Tang Investments as the food hall's sole owner. Lao Huo Tang Group's website lists venues at Downtown East and SingPost Centre, the report said. The newspaper reported that its Nov. 6 visit found the SingPost Centre food hall open.
During compulsory liquidation, the liquidator manages the company, identifies its assets and distributes any available proceeds to creditors under law, the report said. Creditors were directed to send Tan proof of debt for assessment, according to The Straits Times.
