The U.S. Department of War’s July 20 contract notice says Tandem Defense, a Powerus subsidiary, won a U.S. Air Force indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, a framework for orders placed over time. The award has a $90 million ceiling and runs through July 19, 2028. The notice records 10 offers and an initial obligation of $98,000.
Powerus said Oct. 6 that it received an $82 million order, the second under an existing U.S. government IDIQ contract. The company expects deliveries over the next several quarters; further orders are at the customer’s discretion.
The company also announced an approximately $22.3 million deal for counter-drone monitoring and warning systems at oil and gas infrastructure in the Middle East. The Wall Street Journal described Powerus as a $300 million business and reported $5.7 million in starting assets, without specifying the basis for the $300 million figure. Separately, a fairness opinion in the SEC merger filing estimated Powerus’ equity value at $452 million to $548 million and proposed $522.3 million in merger consideration, based on a $3.96 reference share price using a 30-day volume-weighted average. Those are transaction estimates, not a current market capitalization.
