TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 21, 2017 -- Premier Data Services, a complete IT/Managed Services Provider (MSP), has successfully concluded a meticulous third-party examination of its policies and procedures under the Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2, Type 2 standards, demonstrating its commitment to data security and privacy at all levels of its operations.
The rigorous examinations that led to the achievements were administered by the professional IT assurance and compliance staff at 360 Advanced, a respected national Qualified Security Assessor, HITRUST CSF Assessor and CPA firm based in St. Petersburg, Fla. 360 Advanced has clients 30 U.S. states, Europe, South and Central America and the Pacific Rim.
The SOC 2 Type 2, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is the most widely recognized authoritative guidance that provides service organizations a uniform method for disclosing independently assessed information about the design and operation of internal controls. Companies completing an annual SOC 2 Type 2 examination can demonstrate a substantially higher level of assurance and operationally visibility than those companies that do not.
“Successfully completing our third annual SOC 2 Type 2 exam confirms that we have best policies and practices in place and the means to provide the evidence,” said Kevin Kirkfield, Director of Operations for Premier Data Services. “And it definitely sets us apart from our competitors.”
