Q-Ball Intelligence launched Nov. 2 as a predictive AI venture, citing a nine-year portfolio record to illustrate its research while its planned forecasting platform remains in development.
The company says its research began in 2007. It is developing software intended to find signals in information, assess developing situations and produce forecasts that can later be checked against events. Q-Ball says forecasts would be time-stamped and evaluated against what subsequently happens.
For the period from Feb. 17, 2016, to Feb. 17, 2025, Q-Ball reports a cumulative return of 235.19% for a portfolio informed by its research. The company says the result reflects an actual portfolio and was not simulated.
Q-Ball reports cumulative gains of 129.86% for the OMX Stockholm All-Share Gross Index (OMXSGI) and 106.55% for the OMX Stockholm 30 Index (OMXS30) over the same dates. It says the benchmark figures are based on Avanza data. The company puts its portfolio’s lead at 105.33 percentage points over OMXSGI and 128.64 points over OMXS30.
Q-Ball’s disclosure says its new platform did not generate the historical result and that past performance does not assure future outcomes.
The company describes its approach as connecting information, expectations and emerging patterns with possible catalysts and outcomes. It says the aim is to make forecasts measurable by recording predictions and assessing them against events. Q-Ball says it is developing technology for institutional and commercial customers, with potential applications in enterprise intelligence, financial markets, sports and gaming.
