The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has scheduled a ₹23,000 crore Treasury bill auction for Nov. 4, 2026, setting the terms for the government’s next short-term borrowing sale across three maturities.
The offering allocates ₹8,000 crore to 91-day bills, ₹8,000 crore to 182-day bills and ₹7,000 crore to 364-day bills.
The RBI will run the sale through its E-Kuber electronic system using a price-based, multiple-price method. Eligible institutions may submit noncompetitive bids, with those allocations outside the notified amount. Retail investors can also bid noncompetitively; their allocation is capped at 5% of the notified amount.
The central bank says it will announce the results on Nov. 4. Successful bidders must pay on Nov. 5, the scheduled settlement date.
The Government of India’s October-December calendar, prepared in consultation with the RBI, lists 13 weekly auctions totaling ₹2.99 trillion, including this sale. The government may revise auction amounts or timing in coordination with the RBI after notifying the market.
