At an Oct. 22 interview, Raymond Group Chairman and Managing Director Gautam Singhania told NDTV a future separation of the company’s aerospace and auto businesses could make sense, without outlining a transaction.
“There’s nothing announced today, but at some point it will make imminent sense,” Singhania said in the NDTV interview. He gave no timetable or transaction terms.
Raymond’s investor presentation shows the two operations are already held in separate subsidiaries under a restructuring that took effect Aug. 1, 2025. JK Maini Global Aerospace Limited houses aerospace and defense; JK Maini Precision Technology Limited includes auto components, precision technology and engineering consumables. Singhania’s remarks did not specify how a future change might affect those subsidiaries.
On Oct. 24, Raymond Limited said its board had approved a proposal to change the company name to Raymond Aerospace, Defence & Engineering Limited. An exchange filing says the change still needs shareholder and regulatory approvals; it does not set out another demerger.
Raymond’s investor presentation records Raymond Lifestyle’s listing on Sept. 5, 2024, and Raymond Realty’s on July 1, 2025, while Raymond Limited retained the engineering businesses. In the summit interview, Singhania said the earlier breakups were intended to give each business specialist leadership and let investors choose which ones to own. He also cited reducing the holding-company valuation discount as an objective.
For the fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2026, Raymond reported ₹123 crore in aerospace and defense revenue and ₹444 crore from the broader precision technology and auto components segment. That segment includes tools and hardware, so the ₹444 crore figure is not auto-only revenue.
Raymond’s exchange filing scheduled its earnings call for Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 6:30 a.m. EDT (10:30 UTC), or 4 p.m. India Standard Time. The call will cover the quarter and half year ended Sept. 30, 2026.
