The Detroit Red Wings beat the Florida Panthers 5-3 at Amerant Bank Arena on Nov. 3, with two third-period goals coming 45 seconds apart, according to ESPN.

Colorado also won by a three-goal margin, beating Chicago 5-2 for its third consecutive victory. Boston needed a shootout to beat Vegas 3-2, while Calgary defeated San Jose 2-1.

Justin Faulk and Michael Brandsegg-Nygård scored Detroit's two quick goals early in the third period. Goaltender Daniil Tarasov beat his former team in the Red Wings' victory over the Panthers.

The result gave Detroit a record of seven wins, five losses and three overtime or shootout losses. Florida's record stood at eight wins, five losses and two overtime or shootout losses.

The attendance at Amerant Bank Arena was 18,862, the largest among the four completed games on the ESPN scoreboard. The other three games each drew fewer than 18,000 spectators.

Nazem Kadri and Jaden Schwartz scored twice each for the Colorado Avalanche in their 5-2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center. Their four goals accounted for all but one of Colorado's total.

The Avalanche improved to nine wins, five losses and one overtime or shootout loss. Chicago's record stood at four wins, 10 losses and one overtime or shootout loss after the game, which drew 17,838 spectators.

David Pastrnak scored the deciding shootout attempt for the Boston Bruins against the Vegas Golden Knights at TD Garden. His shot beat goaltender Carter Hart to settle the game at 3-2.

A shootout decides a tied game through individual attempts against the opposing goaltender. The victory took Boston's record to 11 wins, four losses and one overtime or shootout loss.

Vegas finished with a record of nine wins, five losses and two overtime or shootout losses. The attendance at TD Garden was 17,850, just above the crowd for Colorado's victory in Chicago.

Adam Klapka and William Stromgren scored for the Calgary Flames in their 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks at SAP Center at San Jose. Both scorers played on Calgary's fourth forward line.

Dustin Wolf made 26 saves for Calgary, which finished with seven wins and eight losses. San Jose's record stood at seven wins, eight losses and one overtime or shootout loss.

The game drew 13,098 spectators, the smallest attendance of the four completed matches. Calgary and Boston each won by one goal, compared with the three-goal margins for Detroit and Colorado.
