On Oct. 27, CFO Shiv Verma told investors that early-Q4 volumes in equities, options and crypto were within 5% of their Q3 high-water marks.

Verma described spreads as tighter early in Q4. He said it was too early to know where the full-quarter take rate would land.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, Robinhood's equity notional volume was $992 billion, up 53% from a year earlier, while options trading reached 905 million contracts, a 48% increase. Both figures were quarterly records.

Crypto notional volume moved in the opposite direction, falling 38% year over year to $50 billion. Robinhood reported net revenue of $1.424 billion, up 12%, and transaction-based revenue of $867 million, up 19%. The crypto portion of transaction-based revenue declined 55% to $120 million.
