Robots & Pencils said Oct. 15 it had acquired Tiger Pistol, adding digital advertising software as the engineering firm seeks to turn client-specific AI work into products it can reuse across engagements.

The companies said Tiger Pistol will join as a customer experience unit. Its platform gives enterprise brands, franchise operators and resellers tools to coordinate advertising on Meta, TikTok, Amazon and other channels. Robots & Pencils said the platform has been in the market for more than 15 years.

Robots & Pencils plans to add AI agents that adjust campaigns using performance data, brand standards and media intelligence. It also intends to use generative models with Tiger Pistol’s Creative Automation Studio to produce and publish media, advertising and video content. The announcement described these functions as planned capabilities and gave no performance figures for them. The companies said the additions are intended to let customers use campaign optimization alongside automated creative production.

Robots & Pencils framed the acquisition as part of a change in how it serves clients. The company said it wants to combine software, reusable code and specialist support in solutions that can be adapted across customer projects. Selected offerings are expected to be available through AWS Marketplace, though the company did not name which products would be listed or when listings would begin.

Robots & Pencils CEO Len Pagon Jr. said the company's delivery model could bring new capabilities live for clients in as little as 30 to 45 days. The company did not identify a first customer deployment or give a calendar date for rollout, so the timing remains an estimate rather than a scheduled launch.

Next Sparc said it acquired Tiger Pistol in 2019. Its current portfolio pages list both Tiger Pistol and Robots & Pencils as active investments, but the acquisition announcement did not explain how the new transaction changes either company’s ownership. It did not disclose a purchase price, financing terms or staffing effects.
