MacBook Air 2016 is expected to launch before the end of this month, latest reports suggest. Venture Capital Post says that the 2016 MacBook Pro could arrive by next month, while the new MacBook Air could be launched on Black Friday.
Latinos Post reports that the latest device will most likely be Apple’s most powerful laptop so far. Earlier this month, Pike’s Universum reported to have found a new Mac code, AAPLJ951, in El Capitan, further suggesting that the devices could be unveiled soon.
According to a report by Master Herald published in October, the release of 2016 MacBook Air was intentionally delayed in order to make way for iPad Pro to capture market.
“Apparently, Apple does not want its 2016 MacBook Air to go head-to-head in the retail markets with the iPad Pro because the latest laptop could actually eat up on the market of the giant tablet”, the report said.
Speaking of specifications for the MacBook Air 2016, it is expected to come in two variants: 13-inch and 15-inch. Australia Network News said that MacBook Air 2016 will likely come with Intel Skylake-U chipset, powered by OS X El Capitan. It may also be sleeker than the previous model and feature a Type-C USB port. Moreover, it may also have longer battery life and could support Force Touch technology.
Also, the device is expected to come with $899 price tag. However, all this is conjecture at the moment and no official word has been received from Apple.
