Ukrainian regional officials said Russian drone attacks killed two people in Korotych and injured a teenager in Kremenchuk on Oct. 20-21, damaging homes and a university building.
Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov identified those killed in Korotych as an 81-year-old woman and an 83-year-old man. He said 11 others, including a 2-month-old boy and an 8-year-old girl, experienced acute stress reactions.
Syniehubov later said a 13-year-old boy was treated at a hospital after being cut by glass. The Kharkiv regional administration listed damage to 21 private houses, a vehicle and power lines.
In Kremenchuk, Poltava Oblast Governor Vitalii Diakivnych said a drone hit a building at Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University late Oct. 20. He reported two people injured, including a 16-year-old hospitalized with a concussion and injuries from the blast. The fire at the building was extinguished, he said.
In a separate account, the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office described a wounded 16-year-old girl who had been at a nearby bus stop and a woman security guard who experienced an acute stress reaction.
The Korotych deaths followed a drone strike on a Kharkiv Oblast park that killed six people, including two girls, on Oct. 19, regional officials said.
