COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 01, 2018 -- SCI Engineered Materials, Inc. (“SCI”) (OTCQB:SCIA), a global supplier and manufacturer of advanced materials for physical vapor deposition thin film applications that works closely with end users and OEMs to develop innovative, customized solutions, today announced it has been notified by the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office that it will be granted a patent titled “Display having a transparent conductive oxide layer comprising metal doped zinc oxide applied by sputtering” (US 2016/0041418 A1).
Sophie Lin, SCI’s Product Development Engineer, whose expertise includes liquid crystal display materials, said, “This patent supports our ongoing development of TCOs for innovative products being developed for display and light emitting electronic applications. We look forward to accelerating the adoption of these materials in relevant applications that can benefit from this patented process.”
This patent is directed broadly to devices and methods involving multiple end-use applications, including display, smart windows and other electroluminescent devices. It is part of the Company’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio that includes previously issued patents and pending U.S. and international patent applications.
