SICO BSC (c) said investors awarded it about $1.6 billion in new business during 2026, spanning several financial operations but not reported as revenue or a net increase in assets under management.

The company announced the figure at the Gateway Gulf 2026 forum in Manama. Its businesses include asset management, wealth management and investment banking. The Bahrain Economic Development Board hosted the forum, scheduled for Nov. 1-2. SICO identified institutional and individual investors as the award sources but gave no separate total for each group.

About $1.4 billion involved new inflows and investments in SICO-managed public and private funds and portfolios. More than $200 million came from transactions and mandates across public and private markets and alternative investment products. SICO said most of the awarded business involved public markets. The total is approximate, and the two disclosed components are also qualified estimates.

The announcement describes the $1.6 billion as new business awarded, not as a reported net increase in assets under management or profit. It did not estimate the business’s revenue contribution. The release identified the investor groups but did not assign separate amounts to them.

SICO’s latest reported gross assets under management, including leverage, were $8.9 billion as of June 30, 2026, up 9% from $8.2 billion at the end of 2025. Separately, the company reported first-half net profit attributable to shareholders of $7.5 million, down 3% from a year earlier. SICO said lower net fee income was the primary reason for the decline; the results do not quantify the financial effect of the newly awarded business.

SICO Group CEO Najla Al Shirawi described the awards as a sign of investor confidence in the company. “We remain focused on connecting capital with opportunity,” Al Shirawi said. Gateway Gulf is scheduled to conclude Nov. 2 in Manama.
