Residents of Riyadh and Al-Kharj received an all-clear from Saudi Civil Defense on Monday but were told to continue following safety instructions amid escalating hostilities with Yemen's Houthis.
Earlier notices had warned people in both areas of danger. The agency then urged residents to keep following official directions and to refrain from gathering or filming.
Saudi Arabia has faced missile and drone attacks during its conflict with the Houthis. The United Nations says a Saudi-led coalition entered Yemen's war in March 2015 at the request of the country's internationally recognized government, which Riyadh supports.
The all-clear came nine days after the Oct. 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation initially reported 12 deaths and 309 injuries. India's Embassy in Riyadh later said an Indian national injured in the attack had died, bringing the reported death toll to 13.
