Ottawa Senators beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 on Nov. 5 after Michael Amadio scored a late winner to complete a comeback, according to ESPN. Ottawa's victory came in a game decided by one goal, with Amadio providing the goal that completed the Senators' comeback against the Sabres.

The Florida Panthers also won, beating the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 as Sandis Vilmanis recorded the first two-goal game of his career. Sam Reinhart added a goal and two assists. Florida's winning margin was two goals, compared with the one-goal margin in Ottawa's victory over Buffalo.

Amadio scored on a wrist shot with 3:09 remaining at KeyBank Center, where attendance was 19,070. His late goal gave Ottawa its winner in the 2-1 result. The Senators completed their comeback with that wrist shot, leaving Buffalo on the losing side of the one-goal game.

The victory took Ottawa's record to 10-6-1, while Buffalo's stood at 7-5-3. Those were the teams' records after the Nov. 5 game at KeyBank Center, where the Senators won in front of a crowd of 19,070 and Amadio supplied the late goal that decided the result.

Florida's victory at Amerant Bank Arena came before a crowd of 19,482 and completed a three-game stretch at home. The win over Chicago brought that home stretch to a close, with the Panthers scoring five goals and the Blackhawks scoring three in the Nov. 5 game.

Vilmanis' two goals marked the first time in his career that he had scored twice in a game. Reinhart's contribution included both a goal and two assists in the Panthers' victory. Their contributions came as Florida finished its three-game home stretch by beating the Blackhawks at Amerant Bank Arena.

The Panthers finished the Nov. 5 game with a 9-5-2 record, while Chicago's record stood at 4-11-1. Florida ended the game with the victory and that record after its 5-3 result against Chicago, whose record following the defeat was 4-11-1.

Both Ottawa and Florida therefore finished their Nov. 5 games with victories: the Senators by 2-1 against Buffalo and the Panthers by 5-3 against Chicago. Amadio's late wrist shot completed Ottawa's comeback, while Vilmanis' first career two-goal game and Reinhart's goal and two assists featured in Florida's win at the end of its home stretch.
