Sentra raised $150 million in a round led by Capital One Ventures to expand its data-security platform as companies track access by workers and AI agents, the company said.

Sentra announced the financing Nov. 4 and said a Capital One representative will join its board. The company listed four priorities: tracking more agent, copilot and model activity around sensitive data, improving rapid containment, expanding field and channel programs, and entering new geographies.

Sentra says its platform categorizes sensitive data and traces access available to employees, service accounts and AI agents, including access inherited through other permissions. It can spot unusual access activity, withdraw permissions and shut off risky data-sharing connections. The platform can also show which information an AI agent may have been able to reach.

Sentra says it analyzes data where customers keep it, spanning on-premises files, data warehouses, cloud services and software-as-a-service applications. Sentra co-founder and CEO Yoav Regev said, “AI agents are now the busiest consumers of enterprise data.”
