Residents’ transport difficulties featured in Vice President Kashim Shettima’s Nov. 4 campaign appeal for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election, which included a reference to a bypass project, BusinessDay reported.

Shettima also called on voters to choose Senator Ahmed Wadada as governor. He said more projects would follow if the All Progressives Congress (APC) remained in power, BusinessDay reported.

Shettima described travel and the transport of farm produce as sources of hardship for residents. He cited a bypass serving Nasarawa, Makurdi and Shendam as part of the response from the Tinubu and Abdullahi Sule administrations, the outlet reported.

BusinessDay also reported that House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas urged Nigerians to support Tinubu, saying cooperation between the executive and legislature was unprecedented.

The rally extends Shettima’s public case for Tinubu’s re-election. In an earlier assessment that Nigeria’s economic reset had passed its hardest stage, he also urged voters to renew the president’s mandate.
