Shiba Inu's price skyrocketed 27% following a cryptic anime GIF from SHIB leader Shytoshi Kusama, sparking excitement across the community. The burn rate surged alongside the price, signaling a new wave of momentum for the token.
A mystery message has been delivered to the global Shiba Inu community by Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous lead of SHIB, using his official account on the X social media app, which was formerly known as Twitter.
Shiba Inu Leader Drops Cryptic Message
To continue with his overall style, which is heavily influenced by Asian culture—specifically Japanese culture, which resembles a vibrant blend of Eastern philosophy and anime—Kusama shared an anime GIF. This cartoon depicts a smiling figure who smirks as he stares at his phone screen.
Kusama appears to be in an optimistic mood, as the price of the Shiba Inu meme coin is currently breaking out. In the last 24 hours, the market capitalization value of the second largest canine-themed cryptocurrency has increased by an incredible 27.3%.
SHIB Price Breaks Out With Burn Rate Surge
At its present pricing, SHIB is about to burn through another zero as it has reached the $0.00001917 mark.
Bitcoin, the largest and oldest cryptocurrency in the world, surged 4% overnight, going from $62,900 to over $65,400 today, and SHIB is following suit in terms of price.
On a related note, according to statistics supplied by Shibburn, one of the most important measures for Shiba Inu, the SHIB burn rate, has also shown an incredible increase over the last day.
SHIB Army Celebrates 33,000% Burn Spike
U.Today reports that the SHIB army has sold 1,884,288,401 SHIB worth of coins. This represents a 33,818.39% jump from the previous day. Only the SHIB development team burned such enormous SHIB chunks all at once throughout the last year.
Shibarium’s Automated Burn Drives Growth
A new automated burn mechanism has been operational since the August hard fork on Shibarium, which includes a new Bor component. Part of it involves setting aside some of the gas fees received in BONE on Shibarium, which are then automatically converted to SHIB and burnt, or moved to permanently unspendable blockchain addresses.
Eight burn transactions have occurred in the last twenty-four hours, as recorded by Shibburn. Of the remaining ones, the biggest ones transported 2,839,000 and 5,040,479 SHIB, respectively, while the biggest one destroyed 1.8 billion SHIB. In addition, three burn transfers totaling over 1,000,000 SHIB were made.
