Shriram Finance reported standalone profit after tax of Rs 3,677.03 crore for its second quarter, a 59.37% year-over-year increase as net interest income rose and the board declared an interim dividend.

The company’s unaudited results for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27) show profit up from Rs 2,307.18 crore in the year-earlier quarter. Standalone net interest income reached Rs 8,661.04 crore, compared with Rs 6,266.84 crore, the company said.

The Economic Times reported quarterly interest income of Rs 13,669 crore and interest expenses of Rs 5,008 crore. The outlet said those figures represented a 15.6% rise in income and a 9.9% decline in expenses. It put loan losses and provisions at Rs 1,877 crore, versus Rs 1,333 crore a year earlier, a 41% increase.

The Economic Times also reported net interest margin (NIM) of 9.52%, compared with 8.19% a year earlier. Parag Sharma, Shriram Finance’s managing director and CEO, told the outlet that growth in business volumes and lower interest costs contributed to the profit gain. Sharma said the company’s long-term NIM guidance is about 8.5%, a level he said would take time to reach again. “For the next two quarters, we expect NIM to remain around 9%,” he said.

The board declared a dividend of Rs 6.50 for each share with a face value of Rs 2. It set Thursday, Oct. 29, as the record date and said eligible shareholders would be paid before Nov. 20. EconoTimes previously covered the profit result and dividend record date.
