Silver rose in two Friday market snapshots, with FXStreet and Kitco posting distinct prices that show how timing and quote sources shape the market figure readers see.
FXStreet reported silver at $52.12 per troy ounce in an update published at 4:30 a.m. ET (09:30 GMT) on Friday, Nov. 6. The outlet's comparison put the price 0.19% above its Thursday figure of $52.02.
Kitco's 8:14 a.m. EST (13:14 GMT) snapshot showed a bid of $51.95 per troy ounce. The figure was up $0.28, or 0.54%, for the day, and Kitco reported a range of $51.07 to $52.34.
The two observations came from separate providers at different points in the trading day, so they do not capture the same market moment. According to Kitco, activity in futures and over-the-counter markets feeds its spot silver figures, with trading continuing across global hours.
The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Silver Price is a separate reference point. ICE Benchmark Administration oversees that benchmark's auction, held each day at noon London time.
