Silver fell below $49 an ounce in some spot feeds early Tuesday, reversing Monday’s rebound and testing a level FXStreet identified as significant for further losses.
Kitco listed a spot bid of $48.91 per troy ounce at 3:11 a.m. ET, down $1.62, or 3.21%, on the day. Its session low was $48.85. An FXStreet report published earlier, at 2:54 a.m. ET, placed silver just above $49, down about 2.75%.
Other feeds also recorded prices below $49. Alex Lexington showed a session low of $48.96 alongside a $49.10 quote at 2:32 a.m. ET. Investing.com’s daily table listed a Nov. 3 low of $48.9840 without a time for that reading. The snapshots differ by provider and time and do not show how long silver traded below $49.
FXStreet’s technical assessment described the near-term picture as negative while silver remained below its 100-hour exponential moving average of $51.40. It said a sustained break below $49 could support an extension of the decline, although a relative strength index reading near 28 could slow losses. FXStreet disclosed that an AI tool helped prepare the analysis.
The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) is scheduled to begin its daily silver benchmark auction at 7 a.m. ET (12:00 UTC), after the spot snapshots cited here.
