The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said a joint operation with cryptocurrency exchanges averted over S$17.4 million in potential losses and identified more than 383 victims overall.

Police said the work drew on blockchain analysis and customer information held by crypto platforms.

Information shared with three overseas agencies helped identify 32 victims abroad, the SPF said. The agencies were the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the New South Wales Police Force and the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
