Gautam Hari Singhania said Raymond’s succession plan is complete, leaving the leadership transition without a named successor or handover date as the group adds senior executives.

At the Oct. 22 NDTV World Summit, Singhania said the plan was complete but disclosed neither a successor nor a date for a handover. He called the initiative “Raymond 3.0,” describing it as “a good marketing line internally.” He also said, “We’re putting professionals in charge.”

NDTV Profit reported that Raymond had brought in 22 senior hires. The outlet linked the recruiting effort to preparation for the group’s growth plans. Raymond’s cited filings list selected appointments but do not document a groupwide roster of all 22 hires.

Raymond’s three-company structure followed the separation of its lifestyle and real estate units from Raymond Limited, which now concentrates on engineering. A Dec. 3, 2025, filing said Raymond Lifestyle listed on Sept. 5, 2024, and Raymond Realty on July 1, 2025. Raymond said the arrangement was meant to increase value for shareholders and give each business a clearer growth focus.

Filings also record Rakesh Tiwary’s appointment as group chief financial officer, effective Dec. 3, 2025, and Satyaki Ghosh’s appointment as Raymond Lifestyle chief executive officer in January 2026.

In a Sept. 18 interview with ET Retail, Singhania said Raymond had hired about 16 to 18 people for leadership-level roles during the year. NDTV Profit’s later report gave a total of 22 senior hires. The accounts do not explain whether the counts reflect different time frames or categories.

In April 2025, Singhania said his daughters were not preparing to take management roles in the near term, while professional executives would continue running Raymond for an extended period. During his October interview, he also said there was a case for separating the group’s aerospace and defense businesses but supplied no timetable.
