Skydance Corporation offered voluntary buyouts to some employees in a Monday memo as it integrates Warner Bros. Discovery and pursues a three-year target of at least $6 billion in run-rate synergies.
The memo, dated Monday, Oct. 26, was reviewed by Reuters and the Los Angeles Times. Reuters reported qualifying employees would receive individual terms and a window to decide whether to accept. The Los Angeles Times reported the shift to five office days a week would be phased by location.
In the memo, Skydance Chairman and CEO David Ellison and co-CEO Ynon Kreiz wrote that “not everyone will see their future here, and we respect that.”
Skydance said the acquisition closed Oct. 6 and set a target of at least $6 billion in run-rate synergies within three years. The company said savings would come mainly from technology, integration and procurement, marketing, and real estate rationalization. The target describes the annual pace of savings sought within three years, not savings already delivered. EconoTimes previously examined the target and potential job effects in its coverage of Skydance’s integration plan.
Skydance’s earnings notice says the company will report third-quarter 2026 results Nov. 9, with a conference call scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
