SmartSky Offers Unlimited Plan Launch Promotion, Demonstration Flights
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – With the nationwide rollout of its 4G LTE-based network underway, SmartSky Networks introduces a limited-time promotion that allows customers use of all the data they want for an affordable, fixed monthly fee. Customers who sign up during SmartSky’s Network Launch Promotion will receive bonus data, including an unlimited option (subject to terms and conditions).
The Network Launch Promotion enhances the already impressive value SmartSky 4G LTE provides. The innovative beamforming power of the network allows blazing-fast internet, minimal latency, real-time video streaming and the ability to conduct business as fast as on the ground – all with the lowest price per GB in airborne connectivity.
In conjunction with this promotion, SmartSky invites customers and partners to experience firsthand the transformative power of 4G LTE. SmartSky plans to hold demonstration flights near Las Vegas during the week of October 10, to correspond with the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). A limited number of seats on each flight will be available.
“Being onboard a flight with SmartSky 4G LTE and experiencing the speed and bandwidth difference is the true measure of its capability,” says SmartSky Networks President Ryan Stone. “We’re eager to have more people see the real-time streaming and communication possibilities that previously haven’t existed in any inflight connectivity option.”
The NBAA-BACE demo flights follow SmartSky’s earlier successful flights with customers and partners in January and August. SmartSky is inviting select media members to a Melbourne, Fla.-based demo flight in November.
SmartSky’s patented 4G LTE beamforming technology delivers a secure signal that locks onto each aircraft in the network, ensuring high performance regardless of network loading. Its broadband connectivity system will provide service over the continental United States using an ATG platform that leverages 60 MHz of spectrum, 20 times more than the incumbent, to open up full-throttle, unrestricted access to the web. SmartSky provides 10 times the typical speed of the current ATG provider, rivaling speeds of 4G Wi-Fi that customers use on the ground in their homes and businesses. The company estimates full nationwide service will be available in mid-2018.
To learn more about this time-sensitive offer or to secure a seat on a demo flight, SmartSky invites customers to visit NBAA-BACE Booth C12249 beginning October 10, or they can contact Satcom Direct (SD), SmartSky’s exclusive business aviation service provider.
