A slide in decentralized exchange turnover coincided with a 22,534% advance for Solana-based Minter (MINTER/SOL), which topped GeckoTerminal’s Oct. 18 gainers list as the tracker showed mixed moves across crypto pairs.
GeckoTerminal’s Oct. 18 snapshot put total decentralized exchange (DEX) turnover at $5.7 billion. The figure was 32.04% below the Oct. 17 level, yet 8.87% above the comparison from a week earlier. For context, EconoTimes’ previous-day report on DEX volume cited $8.4 billion in GeckoTerminal data.
The tracker’s three leading trending pairs all lost value over 24 hours. EmpireX (EMPIREX/WETH) ranked first at $0.0005337, down 38.12%. Giga Tenev (GIGATENEV/WETH) followed at $0.0004054 after a 19.45% drop, while Super Intelligence SI276 (SI276/SOL) placed third at $0.0006796, down 20.87%.
GeckoTerminal’s Oct. 18 ranking placed Minter first among gainers after its 22,534% rise. BNB Chain-based Flying Tesla Roadster advanced 5,774%, and Solana-based Alt Coin (ALT/SOL) gained 4,034%.
Ethereum-based Doge Pepe (DOPE/WETH) had the sharpest decline, falling 72.95%. Mule (MULE/WBNB), on BNB Chain, dropped 64.5%. A DEX is a blockchain-based marketplace where people can trade crypto directly with one another.
The snapshot also listed transaction counts for individual pairs. DE NEO AGENT (DNA/USDT) recorded 397,791 transactions, with buys making up 50%. Tether USD (USDT/WBNB) had 312,321 transactions and a 17% buy share, while Doppler Finance (xdp/USDC) logged 223,681 transactions, with buys at 50%. These counts measure transaction frequency; the $5.7 billion figure reflects trading value across DEX activity.
