In a post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony announced that it would be holding a Free Multiplayer Weekend on PlayStation 4. According to the post, the gaming event, courtesy of PlayStation Plus, will begin on Friday, December 11 at 12:01 am Pacific Time and run through Sunday, December 13 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time.
Attack Of The Fanboy notes that the video gaming event makes it easy for PlayStation fans, as there is no sign up or membership commitment required to join in. To join, players will have to log in to the PlayStation Network, load up their favorite multiplayer game, and play with friends.
We Got This Covered wrote that Sony’s latest offering coincides with Microsoft’s, as the latter recently announced that it will make The Elder Scrolls Online free-to-play for all of its Xbox Live Gold members, which will also start on the same weekend.
