An April 15 update said South Africa’s Financial Sector Conduct Authority carried out 30 supervisory inspections of crypto asset service providers during the fiscal year that ended March 31, 2026.

The authority said most inspections examined anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorist-financing and counter-proliferation-financing compliance, while also assessing newly licensed firms’ ability to meet duties tied to their risk profiles.
