SpartanX Technologies, Inc. announced Oct. 16 that Erik Hardy would become CEO as the cybersecurity company rolled out a product for assessing outside vendors through ongoing security testing.

Vendor Management is part of SpartanX's Olympus release and is listed as generally available on the company's product page. Customers can invite suppliers into separate platform workspaces, with each vendor setting which assets are in scope and choosing what information it shares. SpartanX says customers receive a validated picture of vendor risk and ratings for assets made available to them. The product page lists an overall vendor score and severity, alongside details on assets in scope, risk by asset, engagement status and dates. The company says vendors retain their underlying vulnerability findings and internal data.

SpartanX says the product lets customers assess suppliers through security tests that continue over time, rather than relying only on questionnaire-based reviews. Chief Executive Erik Hardy said customers are “proving which ones actually matter” when assessing vulnerabilities.

The announcement also reshaped senior roles. Diego Spahn, who founded the company, will continue on its board and take on the chief technology and product officer role as a co-founder. Alejandro Aguirre Soto will head engineering as senior vice president, and Martin Voelk will lead research as chief research officer. Hardy previously served as president and chief operating officer.

The Olympus release also adds hundreds of specialized AI agents and retesting for code and mobile findings, SpartanX said. The company did not provide an exact agent count.

SpartanX announced Hardy as president and chief operating officer on April 21, alongside a seed round led by Venture Guides.
