Ripple, the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, has recently made an announcement that it is expanding by collaborating with University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), by providing Blockchain University Program.
While the program has been around since June 2018 and already included some of the world’s leading technology institutions, the latest wave of additions has some standout universities, including Carnegie Mellon, Cornell and Duke University. Four separate countries were included among the eleven university additions, covering the United States, Singapore, Brazil, and China.
While xRapid’s liquidity objective has been the solution for global banks and financial institutions that utilize Ripple's XRP as the platform for cash mobilization. xRapid sets out of the overseas pending transaction with the cost-effective mode.
The UBRI program has been set-in with an objective of exploring in-depth research & development in the gamut of the blockchain.
While at the same time, Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of renowned cryptocurrency exchange Binance, also revealed his optimism to collaborating with Ripple’s XRapid platform in the days to come, the blockchain-based start-up had good news for educators looking to expand crypto adoption.
Ripple reported that it has sold about $129.03 million worth of XRP in Q4 2018; $535.56 million for the full year 2018. XRPUSD price has been drifting in sideways with mild bullish sentiments, currently trading at 0.29718 levels (at Bitfinex).
