Starbucks collaborates with a luxury fashion design house for its new limited-edition mugs, tumblers, and tote bag collection. The world-famous coffee chain is teaming up with Kate Spade New York for a new classy merchandise series.
As per TimeOut, Starbucks Japan will be releasing the new Kate Spade New York items on March 15. There will be six items in the collection, and these will be presented featuring two motifs that include New York City icons, colorful stripes, and polka dots. All the merchandise is in subtle colors that are pleasing to the eyes.
The six Starbucks Kate Spade New York items are a 473 ml. stainless steel tumbler with a design of New York cityscape. The tumbler that cost ¥4,730 has images of the Big Apple's Statue of Liberty's crown, yellow taxis, shopping bags, and pretzels. The drink holder is a vacuum type to keep beverages hot or cold for a longer period.
There is also the stainless steel mug that is also vacuum double-walled with lid. This is perfect for office or work desk and can be purchased for ¥4,950. Fans can also buy the Starbucks Kate Spade New York Cityscape bottle for ¥4,400, which is similar to the tumbler but this is smaller and slimmer in size that can hold 355 ml. beverage.
Another stainless steel tumbler that is the same size as the cityscape edition costs a bit more. It is ¥4,950 and features Kate Spade's signature dot pattern. For shoppers, Starbucks is also offering the cityscape colorful tote bag for ¥4,400. This is easy to carry and big enough for everything you need to bring when going out.
In a post, Starbucks Japan stated that all of these will be in the stores from March 15 and will be available online from March 25. The new Kate Spade collection is a follow-up to the holiday collection that the coffee chain launched in 2020.
Meanwhile, the Starbucks Kate Spade New York collection will also be arriving in stores of select countries in the Asia Pacific. The items will be sold in the Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, starting March 15.
"Starbucks is excited to be collaborating with Kate Spade New York the second time to bring a new exclusive collection to Asia, following the success of the Starbucks X Kate Spade New York collection last year," Starbucks Asia Pacific's vice president, product and marketing, Erin Silvoy, said in a press release. "This new collection incorporates both brands' shared belief that creating meaningful moments of connection can spark joy and brighten your every day."
