Stellar (XLM) has surpassed Ethereum in daily institutional inflows into tokenized investment funds, highlighting growing demand for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization as the blockchain's asset value approaches $4 billion.
According to data from RWA.xyz and Token Terminal, Stellar attracted $17.1 million in net investment fund inflows over 24 hours, exceeding Ethereum's $16 million and Polygon's $5.9 million.
The milestone follows rapid expansion in Stellar's tokenization ecosystem. The network's RWA value has surged 360% since the end of last year, reaching approximately $3.5 billion to $4 billion. Stellar now ranks third globally in blockchain assets under management, behind Ethereum and BNB Chain.
Institutional adoption has been a major driver of this growth, particularly through regulated investment products across Europe and the United States.
In France, the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund leads Stellar's tokenized assets with $1.29 billion under management. The fund operates within the European Union's UCITS regulatory framework.
Meanwhile, Franklin Templeton's BENJI government money market fund holds $521.1 million, while Ondo's U.S. Dollar Yield (USDY) product accounts for $537.1 million. Luxembourg's Yuleba Bond 2030 adds another $500 million in tokenized corporate credit.
Circle's USDC stablecoin also supports Stellar's settlement infrastructure, with $367.7 million circulating within the ecosystem. RWA-related activity has reached 707,248 active addresses, while monthly transfer volume stands at $10.72 billion.
Further growth could emerge in 2027 as U.S. securities depository DTCC plans to connect its tokenization services to Stellar, potentially bringing Russell 1000 stocks and major exchange-traded funds onto the blockchain. Tradable is also preparing to integrate up to $1 billion in private credit assets.
While Stellar strengthens its position in tokenized funds and government bonds, the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is expanding its dominance in commodity tokenization.
XRPL's industrial asset ecosystem includes Justoken's JMWH energy contracts, valued at $2.22 billion, alongside Latin American corporate debt products from VERT Capital. Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin, with a reported $1.16 billion market capitalization, supports settlement activity.
The contrasting growth strategies demonstrate how Stellar and XRP Ledger are establishing distinct roles in the expanding RWA market, with Stellar attracting institutional investment funds and XRPL focusing on commodities and industrial finance.
