Strategy has expanded its Bitcoin holdings again, purchasing 1,665 BTC last week while continuing a major buyback of its STRC preferred stock.

According to an SEC filing, the Bitcoin treasury company spent $142.7 million on its latest BTC acquisition, paying an average price of $85,681 per Bitcoin. The purchase increased Strategy’s total holdings to 847,666 BTC.

Strategy has invested approximately $63.95 billion in its Bitcoin treasury at an average acquisition price of $75,437 per BTC.

The latest transaction marks Strategy’s second consecutive weekly Bitcoin purchase following a brief pause earlier in September. The company previously acquired 950 BTC for roughly $75 million, reinforcing its long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy.

Strategy partly financed its latest BTC purchase through sales of MSTR common stock. The company sold more than 1.46 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market program, generating approximately $246.2 million.

MSTR shares have recently benefited from Bitcoin’s recovery, with BTC climbing as high as $84,000. Strategy stock has gained more than 2% year-to-date after strengthening over the past month.

Alongside its Bitcoin acquisition, Strategy continued repurchasing STRC shares. The company bought back slightly more than 1.5 million STRC shares for approximately $151.7 million as the preferred security remained below its $100 par value.

STRC has recovered significantly from a low near $70 earlier this year and is now trading just below $100. The shares have also gained nearly 2% over the past month, broadly tracking Bitcoin’s recent rebound.

Strategy used proceeds from its MSTR share sales to help finance the STRC repurchases, with additional funding coming from its USD Cash Pool.

Despite the Bitcoin purchase and STRC buyback, Strategy maintains substantial liquidity. The company reported approximately $1 billion in its USD Cash reserve and $5.02 billion in its broader USD reserve, providing additional capacity as it continues managing its Bitcoin treasury and capital structure.
