Tokenized products tied to Strategy’s common and preferred securities reached a reported $479.3 million on Oct. 28, up 3,516.5% from a year earlier, while proceeds from issuance went to selling shareholders rather than Strategy.
The total includes tokens tied to MSTR, Strategy’s Class A common stock, and STRC, its Stretch perpetual preferred stock. The underlying shares have different structures, making the combined figure a total across two distinct securities. The reported amount measures token products; it is not Strategy’s valuation or company financing.
The breakdown showed $267.3 million in xStocks, $105.5 million in Binance bStocks and $77.9 million in Ondo. Those categories add up to $450.7 million, with the remaining $28.6 million outside the listed groups.
On Oct. 28, the valuation was lower than the $508 million figure for Oct. 21 and did not mark a record. Sixteen providers unaffiliated with Strategy were offering products tied to MSTR or STRC by Oct. 22.
Proceeds from issuance went to existing shareholders who sold shares for backing, not to Strategy. Terms vary by product. Backed Assets’ MSTRx tracker certificate follows MSTR’s price, provides no shareholder vote and is unavailable to U.S. persons.
Strategy shareholders approved daily STRC dividends Oct. 28. The company’s schedule for daily STRC payments begins Nov. 1, with the other preferred securities due to follow Jan. 1, 2027. In its proxy, Strategy said the change was intended to reduce the wait before reinvestment and limit price fluctuations tied to payment dates. EconoTimes previously covered the proposal for daily STRC dividends.
Strategy President and CEO Phong Le described the daily schedule as “a natural step toward the tokenized, 24/7/365 financial system.”
