Bitcoin treasury company Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, has announced plans to distribute daily STRC dividends in November, pending shareholder approval of a proposal to change the preferred stock's dividend payment schedule.
According to an October 16 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Strategy intends to pay dividends daily from November 2 through December 1, totaling $1 per share, provided certain conditions are satisfied.
The proposed payment structure requires shareholders to approve the dividend frequency amendment during a special meeting scheduled for October 28. The company must also complete the necessary regulatory filing in time for the changes to become effective before November.
If approved, Strategy would transition from its current twice-monthly dividend schedule to daily distributions, allowing STRC shareholders to receive payments throughout the calendar year, including weekends and holidays.
The move represents another adjustment to Strategy's preferred stock dividend policy. Earlier this year, the Bitcoin-focused company shifted from monthly to semi-monthly payments as part of its efforts to improve shareholder returns.
The proposed change would also place Strategy alongside fellow Bitcoin treasury company Strive, which already distributes daily dividends through its SATA preferred security.
Meanwhile, Strategy faces growing uncertainty surrounding its potential exclusion from MSCI's global equity indexes. The index provider is considering methodology changes that could remove certain non-operating companies, potentially affecting Bitcoin treasury firms.
Concerns over the possible MSCI exclusion have weighed on Strategy's MSTR stock, which declined more than 3% to approximately $146 during Friday's market opening.
Removal from MSCI indexes could reduce passive investment inflows from funds tracking those benchmarks, potentially increasing selling pressure on Strategy shares.
Despite these concerns, some Wall Street analysts remain optimistic about the company's outlook. Cantor Fitzgerald recently increased its MSTR price target from $186 to $208 while maintaining an Overweight rating.
Strategy's STRC preferred stock has also shown signs of stability, trading near $99.40 and approaching its $100 par value following gains over the past month.
Investors will closely monitor the October 28 shareholder vote, which could determine whether Strategy implements daily STRC dividends beginning in November.
