Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy ended the year 2025 on a good note. They bought a lot of Bitcoin 1,229 to be exact between December 22 and December 28. The total cost was $108.8 million. This means they paid an average of $88,568 for each Bitcoin.
They used money from selling stocks to pay for this. Now Strategy owns a total of 672,497 Bitcoin. On average each Bitcoin cost them $74,997.
This was a deal because it showed that Michael Saylors plan for the companys money is working. When Bitcoins price went up and down a lot in 2025 Strategy still made a 23.2 percent gain, from Bitcoin. This is a part of Michael Saylors plan to manage the companys treasury. In the part of December the company made some big Bitcoin purchases. They bought 10,624 Bitcoin for $962.7 million. This means they paid an average of $90,615 for each Bitcoin. These Bitcoin buys happened from December 1 to December 7. The company also bought a lot of Bitcoin the week that ended on December 14 which was worth, around $980 million. This shows that the company was buying a lot of Bitcoin in a time, which is one of the most aggressive times they have bought Bitcoin.
In the year 2025 Strategy bought a lot Bitcoin than before. They bought Bitcoin for 41 weeks which's more than twice as many weeks as they did in 2024. In November Strategy bought a lot of Bitcoin at one time like 8,178 Bitcoin for 835 million dollars. They also bought amounts of Bitcoin like 130 Bitcoin. Strategy spent around 50.44 billion dollars on Bitcoin. When the price of Bitcoin was 87,000 dollars Strategy had Bitcoin worth around 58.5 billion dollars. This means they made, around 11 billion dollars in gains that they had not yet sold before the price of Bitcoin.
